The Robo-MicorMIG welds with low spatter in the short arc, spray arc, or the optional robust pulse arc alike. Its MicorBoost technology accesses the system’s full potential as the control technology adjusts and stabilises the arc quickly and powerfully, even at rapid speed changes and set arc length on the robot.

The Robo-MicorMIG is your perfect gateway to MIG-MAG-welding. It meets the highest quality standards in spite of its low cost, using a short arc subject to very precise control with thin-sheet work. The pulsed process avoids a transition arc entirely to ensure excellent results.

Robo-MicorMIG can be integrated into different automation systems from any common robot manufacturer quickly and easily with its digital fieldbus protocols and two available analogue interfaces.

The innovative and patented Micorboost technology ensures maximum performance and top quality to enable perfect welding for any welder. The unit stands out with optimal welding properties in any work with metal sheets, medium, or heavy steel. The Robo-MicorMIG achieves outstanding welding results on steel, stainless steel, and aluminium with mixed gas and under CO2 alike.

The NFC authorisation concept also permits precise access and authorisation control for higher quality in management and overview.

Future-proof with upgrade concept.

The system offers full upgrade capacities and allows addition of welding procedures, welding programmes as well as functions that make work easier at a later time with its NFC function. New options can be installed offline and without requiring any external support, allowing system expansion at any time to include precisely those functions that are required for the welding tasks at hand.

With MicorBoost technology, Lorch welding equipment can be made even lighter and more compact while ensuring increased power output.

Conventional welding inverters have relatively few voltage reserves. Whenever the arc becomes unstable during electrode welding, the conventional inverter has too little power to stabilize and the arc energy briefly collapses. This reduces the average arc power. MicorBoost technology provides huge voltage reserves. The collapse is avoided or decisively shortened and the arc power increases.

This enables a new quality in welding: Extremely stable and controllable - even with a long drawn arc.


BUS coupling system for all common protocols in robot welding.

The LorchNet connector of the Robo-MicorMIG series optimises connection of the power source to the robot controller. It serves as an interpreter, translating all signals and information from the internal LorchNet bus system into the robot’s language from one of the common FieldBus or Industrial Ethernet protocols.

All signals relevant for torch control, such as blow-out function, collision protection, and the contact sensor can also be communicated via the bus system entirely. An analogue-digital interface INT-06 for control cabinet installation or power source internal with 42-pin Harting connector is available as an option.

The control panel to match any needs.

The MicorMIG operation concepts stand out with their intuitive handling. All control panels offer multiple-stage dynamic control for setting the preferred arc characteristics and end crater filling to ensure optimal weld quality.

On top of this, a convenient welding programme selection via programme numbers and full upgrade capability are included.

The compatible Q-Sys 2020 stand-alone solution fully monitors and evaluates weld seam quality entirely as a welding process monitor. This provides fast and accurate welding data recording, controls welding parameters, and identifies defective weld seams. This warrants error-free production.
