Bruno Lorch starts the company in Fellbach near Stuttgart

1958

Lorch introduces the world's first portable electrode welding machine

1963

Helmut Grüb is put in charge of the sales department

1967

The first welding machine sporting a plastic housing leaves the factory

1969

The company starts mass production of the first TIG welding machine

1986

Helmut and Wolfgang Grüb take the helm at Lorch Schweißtechnik

2002

Move to the new administration and production centre in Auenwald

2003

The first pulse welding machine with digital processor control made in Auenwald makes quite a splash

2009

Introduction of the first Speed welding process

2010

Lorch launches its first fully resonant MicorBoost inverter

2011/12

Lorch introduces no less than five new processes that take efficient welding to the next level: SpeedRoot, SpeedCold, SpeedUp, SpeedArc, and Speed-TwinPulse

2013

Expansion of the logistics centre in Auenwald

Lorch introduces the market to yet another innovation: MicorStick, the first portable electrode welding machine powered by a lithium-ion battery

Lorch's new infinitely variable MicorMIG inverter series raises the bar in MIG-MAG welding technology and sets the new gold standard

Redefining their brand identity, Lorch sets the course for a bright and successful future
