Case: Fliegl Grünlandtechnik GmbH Excellent weld seams for ‘Cargos’ loader wagons.

SUCCESSFUL COMPANY LAUNCH WITH MICORMIG SYSTEMS FROM LORCH.

Having only started with five employees at the end of 2022, Fliegl Grünlandtechnik already employs over 40 people today, who currently produce up to 70 ‘Cargos’ loader wagons per year in Kirchdorf, Upper Bavaria. In the medium term, output is set to increase to 300 wagons per year. With a length of up to twelve metres and a permissible total weight of 34 tonnes, the Cargos are a complex, high-tech product. The various versions are based on up to 800 welded assemblies. Welding is done almost exclusively by hand. In the course of founding the company, Andreas Fliegl invested in a fleet of 10 MicorMIG systems from Lorch, which not only makes the welders' work much easier, but also guarantees clean weld seams with minimal distortion. Tom Anders, Head of Welding Technology: ‘The MicorMIG is a great all-rounder and the new torches with their easy handling and technical finesse make our daily work much easier.’

Ideal interaction.

SIMPLE OPERATION, HIGHLY EFFICIENT WELDING PROCESSES, CLEVERLY DESIGNED TORCHES.

The MicorMIG is extremely easy to operate: thanks to dynamic control technology and predefined synergic welding programmes, all other parameters are set automatically once the material, wire and gas have been selected. The welder simply adjusts the arc dynamics from hard to soft to suit the respective welding task using a practical rotary control. With the highly efficient welding processes, the company achieves optimum weld seams in terms of both production technology and appearance. The distortion is low and there is hardly any spatter, which significantly reduces reworking.
The Powermaster version of the torch with display and buttons directly in the torch handle makes it easy to operate the welding system remotely. The torch is optimally balanced and, with its ergonomically sophisticated handle and low interference contour design, ensures a smooth welding process even during pendulum movements. In addition, a multi-ball joint allows the hosepack to move flexibly in all directions. The torches are optimally designed for pulse welding and are equipped with a Euro central connection.

The lightweight torch is easy to hold and simplifies welding even in hard-to-reach places.

Clean weld seams thanks to pulse welding processes - high production quality is a top priority at Fliegl.

‘Before the start of production in 2023, we looked at various welding solutions. The excellent welding processes and the fact that Lorch offers good service support and short decision-making paths were the factors that favoured Lorch over the competition.’
