Lorch wins the Robotics INNOVATION AWARD with its SeamPilot cobot!

Lorch Schweißtechnik GmbH is among the winners of this year’s Robotics Innovation Award. Its SeamPilot cobot was recognised as one of the three most innovative solutions in the field of robotics and automation. The award is presented annually by the trade magazine Robotics and Production and honours technological developments that provide new impetus for industrial automation. The official award ceremony took place on 10 March on the Talk Lounge stage as part of the all about automation trade fair in Friedrichshafen.

The Robotics Innovation Award is one of the most important industry awards in the field of robotics and automation. It honours products and solutions that impress with a particularly high degree of innovation, technological progress and clear practical benefits for industrial applications. A jury of industry experts selects the three most innovative developments from numerous submissions.

Award-winning innovation: the Lorch Cobot SeamPilot:
With the Cobot SeamPilot, Lorch has developed an intelligent solution for automated weld seam tracking. The system enables collaborative robots to precisely detect weld seams and follow them reliably. This makes the use of cobots in the welding process significantly easier and, at the same time, more reliable.

The Cobot SeamPilot opens up new possibilities in welding automation, particularly for small and medium-sized enterprises: users benefit from greater process stability, simplified programming and increased flexibility in production.

A shared success for the Lorch team
The award highlights the innovative strength of Lorch Schweißtechnik and is also a major success for the entire team behind the Cobot SeamPilot. From development and product management through to production and market launch, numerous employees have contributed to the implementation of this solution.
Lorch would like to thank everyone involved for their commitment and is delighted with the recognition from the expert jury of the Robotics Innovation Award.
